My first hostel stay and I absolutely loved it. It was clean, the staff were helpful, and even when I did have to wait for a bathroom in the morning, I didn't have to wait very long. I will definately consider staying in a hostel in the future.

This is a nice hostel and I had a good time here. The staff do quite well in getting people involved which is important (especially when travelling alone). Location isn't the best, but not a major issue. Good hostel feel and easy to meet other people.

This is the second time I've stayed in HI while in Boston. I've always been pleased with everything about the hostel.

Additional glazing on the windows to block out street noise, especially very early in the morning.
Dear Suemin,
Thank you for the excellent suggestion. We will investigate and see if this will help alleviate some of the noise. Unfortunately, we are in a downtown location in an urban setting and noise is very difficult to control.

The staff is very nice and everything's okay, but the rooms are a little too crammed to be able to have a decent night of sleep. And you really need the flip-flops they give you if you want to take a shower.
Dear Edward,
You are right about the fact that we are a very crowded hostel. We have also recognized this and are working to build a new, more spacious and comfortable hostel in Boston. I do hope that you will return to Boston when the new hostel is up and running.

Friendly and good located hostel near to a little supermarket, some shops and 1 block from the subway. Remember that you need to pay to leave your luggage if you check out, this system is not very good because if you forgot something and you want re-open the cabinet you need to pay again!!!
Dear Vanessa,
Thank you for your comments. They are very helpful as we try to constantly improve our guest experience. We do recognize that the fee for the lockers might be a bit high since you can only go in once per day but we also know that lockers at train stations and at the airport are no longer available so we hired an outside vendor to provide this service.

I had problems that there was not the opportunerty to open a window in the room, fresch air is not the same as aircondition.
The room has a bit of an gymnastic dressroom smell, a bit awkward is it not..
Ciao, had a verry good time..Luuk
Dear Luuk,
Thank you for your comments. We are addressing the window situation. The reason the windows were shut is because we had people opening the windows with the AC units in them and had an incident where the unit fell to the street below. We have come up with some new solutions so hopefully this will not be a major issue in the future. Hide Owner CommentsRead Owner Comments luuk, from Netherlands ~ Jun 5 2009

Very good structure, as most of the HI hostels. One thing that disappointed me is that a trip to Harvard was organized by hostel staff but the guide had no idea what she was doing and we missed Harvard's official guide tour because she was late.

hands down the best hostel we've ever been to!
Dear Muhammad,
WOW! What a wonderful comment. Thank you and I will make sure that the staff knows about it.
