This place is good for youngster who wants to travel cheap.. Boston is a great city to walk around...
Just wanna tell you tough, since everyone is "expected" to wash the utensils they have used, please make sure you wash it again.. I noticed many lazy and ignorant tenants just rinse it with water. Hepatitis might easily transfered from those dirty utensils

There is no alcohol allowed on the premises. This was not a huge deal since I was mainly just passing through on a trip rather than partying. The staff are very nice and the hostel is run extremely well

I never expected much of any hostel. So I booked two nights here and two in a hotel. Wish I hadn’t bothered with the hotel. This place – good location (but you can walk anywhere in Boston so not big deal) clean++ comfort++ and some cool events organised. Cheap++ and I cant say anything bad about the place! Have fun, stay here you cant expect much more. Go to the Jazz night if they have one! Enjoy Sam Adams and you can tell your friend you had a top time in Boston.

This hostel was really fun. Free breakfasts in the dining room and having cable TV on in there meant there were lots of people hanging out and mixing. The free Wi-fi in the dining room is great in addition to the fully equipped kitchen. The only downside to this hostel was there really wasn't enough bathrooms and most of the time it was really hard to find a free shower or toilet.

Great location. Excellent exposure to the city. The subway station is three minutes away on foot. Once you're off the main drag, it's really quiet, but is still close to plenty of activity. The only negative thing about it is random and that's the roomates. But sometimes they turn out alright. With all that said, still, STAY HERE!!!

Probably the cleanest hostel I have seen in the US! And the first hostel were the blankets were not these thin gross light-blue thingies that look as if they had been used for mopping up the bathroom floor before. Instead, two warm and rather new thick blankets.
Guest were a good mix of groups (a lot of French) and individual travelers of all ages.

This is a great location for a hostel, rights a hop, skip and jump from Downtown Boston, in the Back Bay. The hostel was clean, the staff was wonderful and the events they planned were fun. I highly rec. this place. On a side note: I had the bottom bunk and the upper bunks have two metal bars that hang down somewhat low. Well I banged my head on these bars a few times. I hope HI Boston will consider getting some kind of covering because for part of the vacation my head hurt. Be careful if you get the bottom bunk.
