Excellent Hostel. But the internet didnt work. They said you had to get second floor to conect internet, but it didnt work anywhere.

Very friendly staff, fun activities, good breakfast, awesome location. An awesome hostel. Highly recommended. If I were to nitpick, the shower curtain was a bit too small and every shower left the shower box flooded.

It is a good place. Close to most of places and transportation is convenient. However, the room I stayed was totally messed up. It supposed to be a 10-bed room. There are 14 beds in the room. However there are just 10 lockers. The beds are numbered wrong. Anything else was pretty good.

My bag was stolen out of a locked locker in the lobby the day i was leaving. When I tried to get help, the staff were USELESS and said I'd have to wait an entire extra day to even speak to a manager or give the police any security footage. Absolutely appalling.

I loved the fact that there were organized events and helpful information about where to go and what to do (as well as discounts and free nights). These things really made my trip, and I would recommend HI Chicago to anyone.

Great hostel: fantastic location, clean and secure, free continental breakfast was good. I like that there are a lot of planned activities if you'd like to take part, and free coffee all day!

-bring flip flops for the bathroom/shower! -rooms are stuffy! If you don't like fresh air and prefer the same air in the rooms since the place was constructed then you're golden! Stay here!

Overall I had a really good time here. Staying in a 10 bed dorm can be hit and miss as to who you are going to get. The staff were helpful, but the shower facilities were terrible. Maybe it struggles due to it shear size. Not as easy to meet people here, however I did meet two fantastic people. I would consider staying here again.

This hostel was very comfortable and friendly. Everything was very easy, the hostel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and I most definitely felt safe. Love the location too, right downtown. Overall a great experience!
