I had an excellent stay. The staff was very helpful in providing everything I needed. The location is super convenient, and the common areas are very nicely furnished. I will definitely stay again if I return to Baltimore.

I thought the hostel was really nice. One thing I forgot to mention when checking out though, in room #1, the sink next to the shower ends up smelling really moldy whenever the tap is turned on.

The location is pretty terrifying & not close to any of the attractions (i.e. the Inner Harbor). But once we were inside we felt very safe and the vibe inside was very nice. The parking is crowded and we had to move our car multiple times for the employees' cars - plus it cost $8 and was down a creepy back alley. Plus, don't forget about the extra $8 each in fees and taxes that are not included or even talked about on the website. If you're with a group your money is better spent on a hotel.
Hello, I am sorry that you felt that the location of HI-Baltimore was 'creepy'. It is true, we are not located in an overflowing touristy area, however we are just a short 10 minute walk straight down Charles Street to the Inner Harbor, Convention Center, and sports stadiums. Also the #3 and #11 bus pick up directly across the street from our front door and provide you with a quick five minute ride to the main attractions of Baltimore. Ideally we we like to introduce our guests to a Baltimore off the beaten path - such as the Avenue in Hampden, the cobblestone streets of Fells Point, or the historic neighborhood we are located in: Mount Vernon. If you look on the booking website you booked through, as well as your confirmation email, and our own website it clearly states that taxes and membership fees are added upon check in.
