This hostel isnt named 'Friendly Crossways' for nothing. The staff (mother and son) were absolutely brilliant. I had a nightmare with my travel plans and couldnt get to Harvard untill 1.00 am, not only was i still allowed to book in but one of the staff actually picked me up in their car at the train station! I also was given a lift again to the train station when i had to catch the train to Boston the next day. All i can say is thanks so much! i had such a nice time staying there and everyone absolutely went out of their way.

I loved this place... awesome house, great family who owns it... would highly recommended it... my only issue was with the mould in the showers.

We really enjoyed our stay, but for those of you with out transportation it is quite a bit off the beaten path. Very clean, rooms are very quaint, has a rustic old farm feel to it. Loved it.

a lovely place to stay, very quiet and calming. however, it's best suited to people with transport as there are no transport links except the train which is a 15min car journey. the staff are really friendly and because i was on my own they took me to plymouth and ayre.

A most peaceful oasis. Very much appreciated. I didn't go for "fun", thank you!
