i found quite odd people stayed here (actually more so the females). rooms are quite cramped. carpet really dirty. water seemed to have a bit of trouble coming out of shower head with all that limescale build-up (+bathrooms need a re-vamp and some hooks for your stuff). and i found they were a bit under-staffed at check-in time. they organise activities (our activity guy was average). location is pretty good. the cafe/bar is nice, great value and the food always good.

Extremely squeaky metal beds, so didn't get much sleep but everything else was perfect. TRY THE BREAKFAST - $6 for a feast.

I had a good time even though I didn not receive my private room. The only concern I have had is with the bunks walking up and down them, particularly at 3:00 am. They can be dangerous. Still, I managed to do alright and will show up at this hostel again when I am in town(which will be quite a bit since I have family in Ottawa which is not far). Take care.

Montreal is a big city so wherever yuo stay you will nearly always need to use transport to get to see all parts of the city. This hostel is well placed for shopping as Catherine street is home to Eaton Centre and many other great shoppping outlets. Staff were helpful and room was comfortable - even had air con!!
