  • First of all, the breakfast was great! The staff were nice and the beds were comfortable. It was pretty easy to get around the city, but you had to have a public transportation card if you wanted to stay here. The bad parts are that wifi is only in the common room, and it was in the other building than where we slept. Also the toilets were kinda dirty, but that must be because of the other people staying there (we had the large dorm). It was an ok place to stay for a night.

  • I stayed here for a total of 4 nights and mostly enjoyed my time there. The hostel was very clean and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood and very close to the train station which made getting around the city easier. The staff were friendly and printed out my boarding pass before I checked out. My issues were that there was wifi only in the lobby and there was construction happening on the first floor so early in the mornings I was woken up by loud noises with no previous notice.

  • Strengths: The staff allowed an early check-in and were friendly. Undesirables: The HI Munich-City Hostel was like attending a boot camp. Rules are posted and reiterated everywhere. You have to pay for a towel (2 Euros) for use, obtain and dispense with your own linens, and clean up after yourself at meals. Considering, I'm not sure what the staff actually do besides operate the front desk. If one pays for use of a room, basic accommodations are expected. There are better hostels for the $.
