  • Beautiful, eco-friendly house in the super cool Hawthorne neighborhood of Portland, walking distance from lots of cool coffee shops, restaurants, shops and bars. Lots of great common areas, including a beautiful backyard, so it was easy to meet other people. Everything was clean and comfortable. I just wish the individual beds had curtains around them like some hostels do; I had an older male roommate who would not stop asking me questions when I first woke up while I was still in bed.

  • The staff was very professional and know the cool spots to hit up very well. I enjoyed my time tremendously, made my friends and will be back soon.

  • My only gripe is that perhaps sleeping on the top bunk is a bit terrifying and the stairs down to the mens beds were a bit steep.

  • I have no complaints about the hostel. The histel and its staff were great. My only complaint has not a lot to do with the hostel but with the other travelers in it. Some of the women in my room were very inconsiderate and rude to the other travelers. They would come at all hours and be very loud and obnoxious. This isn't the hostels fault. But maybe there could be some more signs about being considerate of other travelers.
