Lovely, lovely place! Close to everything, great staff, great guests. Suggestion: bring a fan to keep the air moving in some rooms. Felt safe, secure, and conveniently accomodated. Technology for those who need it, storage, very clean and cozy. Simplified, not simplistic. Will definitely be back.

My friends and I had such a great time at the hostel. Even though we only stayed one night, we completely enjoyed the experience. The location is excellent as it is really close to Union Square. In the morning, we had a great breakfast of orange juice and bagels. We all agreed we would definately come back again!!!

This hostel was in a great loaction, right off Union Square. The staff was helpful, and the rooms were decent. The beds are a little uncomfortable, but nothing horrible. It is a little pricy if you are not an HI member. It felt safe, and centrally located. Highly recommended.

HI Downtown is brilliant! I am already on my way back! This is the best Hostel ever, and I can highly recomend it. The staff is fun, open and global, I like! It's a lot of hostel for that low amount of money, it's so worth it. The location is perfect, close to transportation, close to THE shopping area, great food nearby and the people you meet around here is awsome! The kitchen could be better, even if there's not more breakfast to it, there should be some more groceries to choose from, which one can pay for. But this is a good hostel. Book it and have the time of your life! You meet new roommates everyday and you'll get friends for life, i've got two!

I loved the locetion of the hostel, it was 5 minutes by walk to Union square:)) I also liked the staff, they were all so friendly and helpful about all. We had a real fun trip there and had a great hostel to stay.

The kitchen is a complete mess!!! The tables aren't cleaned after eating. Besides, some people washed their dishes only with water. The hostel should enforce more the use of soap.
