The customer service was absolutely terrible. I do a lot of traveling all over the world, staying at numerous hostels, but I have never been treated with so little respect. I invited one of my friends that was visiting me in San Francisco to dinner at the hostel and it became a big ordeal. The desk attendants had a sort of elitism problem and talked down to the guests. One of the employees, Will Kreiger, was especially rude. Location was great and having a guest kitchen available was nice, but I

It's a good hostel, although it lacks a bit of personal touch, since it's pretty big. The café is very good and cheap (try out the sandwiches!), but the free breakfast is a joke (1 bagel + 1 drink - either you buy some more or you bring your own).

Early morning AM staff were unfriendly. Other than that the location was great and the experience was excellent.

good place to stay, the building is an old historical building and it s nice to stay. the location is good too even if you are far away from downtown. You are closed to the Golden Gate and Fisherman's Wharf and Cable cars. But if you want ti enjoy the nightlife, I guess that the Downtown hostel is better. I regret one thing : the dorms 24 people in the same room I think it's a little bit too much, perfect for school group but a little uncomfortable for 1 or 2 people travelling

Not fun at all! Guests are either over 50 or families with toddlers. The location provides a nice view but no restaurants, bars, groceries or shopping less than 20-30 minutes of walking away. Very quiet hostel where you get sshh'd at 11pm, not many facilities, not much fun. You won't enjoy it.

This hostel usually has something going on every night which is a big plus. The location is incredible, with views of the Golden Gate Bridge. There is also public transportation readily available to get you to other parts of the city.
