The only thing I know about them is that you´ll have to take a ferry to go to the hostel, and when I check that it was so late for not to be charged for the day altough I call them before 10: 00 AM.

Prob a better place to stay during the week, as access to Seattle\'s nightlife is limited. I really enjoyed my stay.

Don't be put off by the locataion, it is an easy communte to Downtown Seattle. And if you miss the bus on the island there are lots of friendly locals who can give you lifts. Its a great place!

The hostel is quite tricky to get to and the free pickup was a fiction - guests should expect to pay $5 for a lift. The woman on the desk was incredibly rude and did actually leave me stranded at the ferry port. I had to call to prompt her 40 minutes after my initial call and she still charged me. Having said this, the hostel itself is clean and pretty in a lovely campsite location with unusual features such as wigwam beds and teepee tents.

If you want to be on Vashon Island, this is a pretty good place, but if you want to visit Seattle, it is not so good. It is a long ferry ride and a long bus ride from Seattle, and you will either have to pay to be taken to bus stop/ferry terminal, or hike about a mile from the hostel to the bus stop. Buses do not run on Sundays and holidays. Transportation can be a real hassle. Rooms are cramped, and with 8 people per room it can get stuffy, particularly if one person insists on having the window closed. On the positive side, the showers are nice and even clean, but there are not enough of them.

This is a great place to stay. But remember to bring food supplies with you as its very isolated. Also, it has no laundry facilities. All the staff were wonderful, apart from the manager who can be very rude. She was nice to me for most of my stay until the last day and I needed the courtesy lift to the bus stop. It appeared to be a huge inconvenience for her to do her job.

You definitely need to take a car or bike to this hostel if your planning on exploring the island - don't rely on the free bikes - they had no brakes! and vashon is a very hilly island! However we really enjoyed just relaxing around the site, great chilled out communal atmosphere!
