  • The hostel is in a very beautiful and fun neighborhood, the inside also looks very nice. I believe it's a newer hostel so that's why. Staff is friendly. I asked them how to find a job, where is the iron, many questions. Lots of information and some social activities / pub crawls. Very complete basic amenities like a varied breakfast, coffee, tea, milk. The only thing is bathrooms are rather limited. An 8 person room only has 1 bathroom. Only 2 other public bathrooms, both single bathrooms.

  • I had a great time at the Hostel. The staff was amazing! The people that were there were also extremely nice. There wasn't true security (like a security guard) but I never felt unsafe (doors closed at 11pm). I loved the atmosphere. I'm a very very clean person, so the cleanliness, for my standards was only average (only as far as bathrooms go/but that's what happens when six girls share a bathroom, right?). Everything else was great! I LOVED the facilities and would definitely go back.

  • An excellent hostel and one of the best places I have stayed thru my travels. The staff is great, the location in the museum district is awesome, good breakfast, security, common areas, and activities. Small kitchen, totally workable tho. Can not recommend this place enough!!!

  • There was a problem with one staff member, but the manager was very understanding and resolved the issue in a professional manor. Your close to the Montrose which is a plus. If you have a car more than likely you will be parking on the street (area seems safe)because the hostel itself has limited parking. All and all its a hostel that's run like a hotel if your looking to party(in the hostel) this is not for you, but if your looking to chill out and relax by the pool than this is your hostel.

  • This was the fourth hostel that I stayed at in my six months of travel and which I stayed at over forth-six accommodations. My complaint is that this hostel made it diffult for other places of accommodation because their standard was extremely high. I stayed their twice. It would be good if they were closer to the international airport but then they would not be close to down-town facilities.

  • Spacious room. I was in a 6-bed dorm that could easily accommodate 4 more. It also had a small terrace. Generous breakfast and lots of free food provided. Library with a pool table and large swimming pool. Very helpful and kind staff.

  • The HI - Houston hostel is by far one the best hostels I have ever stayed in during my 5 years living in different hostels across the world. The hostel is super clean, very home furnished, awesome swimming pool, free wifi, and free breakfast. The staff are also super friendly, and they are super eager to help new arriving guests. The hostel has a lot of history and culture to the city of Houston. Overall, the best hostel I have ever stayed in my life!!! It is a MUST stay :)
