It wasn't easy to get about without a car. About the only thing from the door was Whistlers Mountain which was fine for one day but otherwise access was difficult.

The shuttle times to and from the hostel are not very convenient given that the last shuttle to the hostel leaves town at 4:45pm. So, unless you want to spend 2 hours hiking all the way to the hostel from town at the end of the day, you have to end your day trip short in order to get a ride back to the hostel. Also, the wireless internet service is ridiculously slow and quite temperamental. There were many times when I couldn't get a connection at all. Of the two computers located in the comm

Drinking water not being available is unacceptable. The hostel was at capacity, and all of the water taps had signs saying, please boil water before use. with two small stoves, how are 100 people supposed to boil water for a day of hiking/climbing/biking/etc. There was a small 20 litre water cooler on the porch, but it was empty.

Belle ambiance, située dans la nature, a 5 minutes en navette de la ville de Jasper. Il faut faire une petite épicerie en ville avant d'y aller, car sur place, il n'y a pas grand chose a manger.

I really liked this hostel because there was an atmosphere there, a feeling. Usually HI are so unpersonnal, anonymous. For once I felt like at home!

the kitchen and common area are too small to accomodate everyone staying at the hostel. also, the female dorm is right next to the common area and the walls are paper thin, so it felt like i was trying to fall asleep in a pub. also, lights were not turned out in the dorm until well after 11 p.m. all in all, i would not stay here again.

More shuttle runs need to be made between the town and the hostel, e.g. a 745am, 9am, 12pm and 545pm so that you don't have to spend 10hrs in Jasper to avoid paying the $36rtn cab fare.
