- “ A nice cozy hostel in a nice cozy place. The owners are so nice and kind that you feel home. And the best of everything, there is a massage chair in the library and guests get 20 minutes free massage everyday:) ”

- “ Hostel had many good points, mainly due to the free things like tea/coffee, milk, fruit and ice cream. However, the communal areas are fairly small when the hostel is full, and the internet access is not ideal - having to find a member of staff to log on for you. Other than that, a pretty good hostel. ”

- “ Hanmer Backpackers Geez! If your looking for a weloming (Home away from home) Hanmer Backpackers is for you. Edwin and his staff will help and give you a bunch of local knowledge. The lodge is very tidy and clean,in the kitchen you will feel at ease cooking up a storm, just remember theres free icecream so leave some room! Had a awesome stay loved it so much! ”
