The hostel was a lot of fun- very social and met alot of people during my stay. The facilities were clean and the staff were very organized. The travel desk was very helpful and you can book a lot of tours from them. The halong bay overnight trip was definitely an experience (highly recommended if you like partying on a boat). By far the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in, especially considering the sub-par conditions of hotels/hostels in Asia in general.My only gripe is the friendliness and helpfulness of the receptionists.But other than that, Hanoi Backpackers Hostel on Ma May was great. This is really a good hostel in Hanoi. Very clean and... brand new. You couldn't get much of a better place if you want to party. Maybe not the best place if you want to rest and it can be a bit juvenile. Still would recommend it! Alexandre, from Canada ~ 25th Aug 2011
