It's an ok place to stay for the amount we pay but the overall feel wasn't so happy.

The staff are very friendly, but their English is limited, so it helps to speak a little Chinese. The hostel is located in a college district, meaning it takes about 40 minutes by bus to get into town where the sights are. When I was there, the hostel only had two functioning showers, meaning that one usually had to wait. Due to the showers being used so much, water was usually lukewarm rather than hot. The hostel is well-decorated and there are some games and books available. It has potential.

Very poor quality accommodation. The hostel was cold throughout, especially at night, bathrooms were not clean, internet access was very limited and the whole place would benefit greatly from renovation, a good clean and an injection of character. By far the poorest hostel I've stayed in.

We had a very difficult time finding this hostel at first and had to have them come and find us in a pharmacy, which the hostel staff was kind enough to do. When we arrived we had a shared bathroom, which was the most disgusting bathroom we have ever seen. There was a constant stench of urine and feces. The bedrooms were not any better. The beds are wooden planks with a small amount of cardboard and cushion to soften your stay. We watched the staff "clean" a room by simply readjusting the sheets from the last traveller. Our group also had one private room which had several rat droppings. If you can afford the extra 50 kuai a night book another hotel.

Despite the low scores on this survey, this hostel was actually very nice. The staff doesn't speak English (besides one or two people), but they are very helpful just the same. They know their way around the city and were VERY helpful supplying directions and recommendations for food and fun. The hostel is about 30-45 minute bus ride from anything, but it is the only hostel in Harbin.

The Hostel had a lot of potential, the staff were freindly but had very limmited English. The Double room I had was disgusting but the dorm rooms were much better quality. It was unfortunate that the communal areas were all suronded by bedrooms as it made socialising difficult and as a lone traveller it is important that Hostels have areas were you can meet other traverllers.

Yeah, very rarely did we have hot water for the showers. Staff didn't speak much English for an international hostel, but at least tried hard. Place smelled of cabbage and was dirty. Location was 40 minutes bus ride from centre. Internet didn't work much. Would hate to be a local student that had to stay at this barely-a-hostel.

for the price of the rooms this hostel is quite okay, but away from the major sights and the cleanliness could be better. not much english spoken here, but staff tries to help.

A cheap hostel but a little out of the way. Rooms were EXTREMELY basic, but I guess that is what you get for the price.
