Harbor 60 in Rhodes, Taiwan

This hostel is by far the best hostels I have ever stayed in Taiwan, and perhaps East Asia. The hostel is brand new, and opened its door early October 2011. The hostel is very clean, has fast internet connecttion, bath towel, a nice shower, and beautiful lounge on the third floor. The hostel feels like a 5 star hotel. The manager is very nice, and his English is very good. I had the entire place to myself, and it was amazing! First, Kaohsiung is an impressively nice city to stay, which has a warm subtropical climate through the year but not so hot and humid like other southeastern Asian countries. The public transports are modern and convenient, people are kind and friendly, parks and cycle paths have been progressively constructed, and so on. This newly built hostel is as clean and tidy as the town so that I could really enjoy my stay there. The owner speaks English and Japanese well, and gave information in detail. i stayed in a very spacious 8 bed female dorm with bathroom ensuite. hostel looks brand new! staff is very friendly & speaks some english & service is good. there's airconditioning & fan in the room, and wifi in the spacious activity room upstairs. water provided. shampoo/foam too. Eateries and 7-11 within walking distance. the hostel lies in a quiet street in front of an elementary school but nothing to be wary of as it is only a short walk from the main street.
