Harrisson Hostel in Miami, United States

The manager of the hostel who speaks French, was extremely rude with me this morning, saying that although I have my receipt to stay at the hostel until NOv, 4, I CANNOT STAY HERE UNLESS I PAY MORE!!!! That was a shock for me, they are extoring money from me threatening that I will be required to leave today if I do not pay more! under all legal definitions, this is qualified as FRAUD, I hope the owner of the hostel understands that, and that I won`t be leaving anywhere until te date I p maksim, from Belarus ~ 28th Oct 2009

No kitchen, so dont be fooled, well t2o microwaves if that constitutes a kitchen! The security was great cos the key cards didnt work. Was quite pleasant but the claim to a guest kitchen is laughable, and they didntb have a cleaner by the looks of things, toilets were very bad. Breakfast was poor too, but it was cheap at least! no kitchen ( just 2 microwaves in the common room), 3min walk to beach, rooms very dirty, especially the showers. rooms are cleaned like once a week. staff doesn't really seem to care about the customers. it's cheap though and good to explore south beach but not a nice stay in it.

we do have stove now , and the cleaning ladies work really hard to keep the hostel nice and clean , however our hostels huge and there is a possibility that your wasn't cleaned everyday , it is normally cleaned 5 days in a week.

Don't book with them! When We got there one girl was very mad because she had her things stolen. The room look like a hospital room except for the dirty floor. The staffs are very weird and the youngest one was always drunk at night. The keys always stopped to work... every day was the same inconvenience. The guy who works at the front desk told us that has a shuttle from the hostel to the airport at 5:15am, they charged us 15 dolars, we got up very early and we waited for the shuttle, but this Camila, from Brazil ~ 29th Sep 2009

The staff werent helpful at all, and very forgetful, our lock on the door was broken the whole time we were there, and our room was never cleaned. good location as it is 5 mins from the beach, but i would chose elsewhere next time. Tara, from England ~ 31st Aug 2009
