Fabulous value and not a bad place at all! :-) Just one thing.. Please try make it very Clear in booking that you need photo id (passport or Drivers licence) to Check in.. Don't bury that in the smallprint that nobody ever reads.. I didn't have mine with me and it was a nightmare..

I wasnt at all pleased that when we arrived at the Hostel we were informed that the room we had booked for 8 people wasnt available and so 5 of us had to share with other people. I clearly requested a room for 8 and that is what I paid for the week before our stay.

The wireless internet never worked, and I mean not a single time in my four day stay. Accordingly, the rental fee for the other computers could have been cheaper given that the "free wireless" was virtually nonexistent. The water on the 5th floor was always frigid. Few staff knew how to operate the lift or seemed unwilling to do so when we had quite heavy bags to transport up several floors. Despite these grievances, my stay was relatively enjoyable, and I would consider staying at Hatters agai

its a nice place to stay in manchester even if the beds are very short and you have to manage 109 steps to the 5th floor. the noise level is high (traffic) so bring oropax!

I had a great time there. One of the best hostel where I've been. Perfect position, breakfast 24h a day, good staff and very clean place!! I was sad when I left it!

The room was too noisy, the windows are poor so you get could and noise from the street. Poor cleanliness in the shower and the toilets. The best thing was the location and the staff.
