- “ So cold. It was just so cold. The heat wasn't on, at least in the common areas. There was a space heater in my little room. But it was freezing getting out of the shower. ”

- “ I hadn't stayed in a hostel for a number of years (I'm aged 34), but needed a cheap place to stay while flat hunting in Manchester. I was very pleasantly suprised by the atmosphere, staff and added extras you get when staying at the Hatters. For example the staff went beyond the call of duty when it came to sussing out transport and eating spots, despite the low price there is constant free tea and coffee, and a decent lunch, and the rooms are clean and secure - including towels for the shower! ”

- “ We had a room at fifth floor without elevator options. There were some engine or pump noise annoying us all the night and the window had really poor isolation, so night was so cold even with opean heating. ”

- “ Had a good stay in Manchester. Hostel staff great. Free wifi only available in limited area. The room I was in was on street side, thus bright lights from street and quite an echo from the stair well as people came in late. ”

- “ This was one of the worst Hostels I have ever been poor. Even though it made a great impression on the pictures the very unfriendly staff made our trip to Manchester over New Year's Eve miserable. Fortunately we stayed just one night. ”

- “ we had a private room (with bunk beds) on the top flor, the interior was very nice, but at night there was sometimes a loud and strange noise, like a waterpipe problem or something. We stayed only one night, so it was worth the money. Clean room and beds, breakfast, nice staff. ”

- “ We stayed for 4 days in a 2 bed room, and there was nothing to complain about, maybe except of one day the showers had really sparse water. Breakfast is every morning from 7:30 to 10:00, and every evening was something different organised by the hostel staff. Altogether we had a great time :) ”

- “ It was a very cool place, directly near the city centre, which was perfect! Everything was jsut a walk away! The hostel itself was also very good. Quite small kitchen if you really want to cook something, but otherwise. Recommend for anyone visiting Manchester! ”
