- “ The room we stayed at *lord of the rings*, was really cool and big. The bathroom was good and the common area a bit too small. I was not impressed by the breakfast, the milk and juice was really warm and the breakfastroom smelled strange. Its not the best hostel that I have stayed at, but in my opinion its all about your roommates, and the people you meet. ”

- “ I'm older (47) and found it very nice, for my first hostel. They didn't really apply my 10% payment to Hostels.com as a deposit against the bill, but acted like this was a service charge for the booking. So expect that. Otherwise, it was nice really, and clean and comfortable. ”

- “ This was by far the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The location is alright, it's in the Red Light District, so it's very loud at night. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything outside and downstairs. There is no "chill" area to hang out. There's an awkward area in the lobby and a smoking courtyard with shoddy seating. I was really unhappy with this place and it was NOT worth how much it cost to stay here. ”

- “ the rooms are very good, but as it is amsterdam, it's very hard to get a good price on what you're paying for. It's really expensive for a hostel and it does not offer that much in return. The location is absolutely excellent (red light district). ”

- “ The rooms were kind of cool with movie themes. We stayed in the Big Lebowski room and it was clean. The bathroom was small, but clean. The location is right in the Red Light district and everything is accessible within walking distance. The breakfast was terrible and I would recommend hitting up a restaurant that offers a cheap breakfast, but then again their breakfast was only 3 euros. The stairs are crazy in the hostel, so watch out after a late night in the district! We enjoyed our stay! ”

- “ The hostel is really well located within the center of Amsterdam in the Red light district. If that bothers you this is probably not the place for you. But even though you are not in Amsterdam for the pot or the prostitutes I would still recommend Heart of Amsterdam. The only things that bothered me a little was the lack of hostel atmosphere im so uese to in European hostels. Think the reason for it is the lack of common area. Also the staff could have been nicer. ”
