It has no air conditioner at all... and it was at least 95 F in DC.. it was sooooo hard to sleep, esp on the top bunk... there was only 1 fan in the room.

Fun place to stay and quite cheap (compared to other places in the US). Quite a distance from downtown, but it is right next Metro station. The only major negative is the lack of air conditioning which made sleeping very uncomfortable.

Great relaxed hostel. Enjoyed my stay. The guys know what they're doing and everything is how you'd want it. Could use another bathroom for the rush hour period but you cannot find anywhere better for the money.

two grandsons and myself stayed at this Hostel, I paid for all three of us for 3 nights. The oldest grandson told me in the afternoon of our arrival, that his cousins from other side of the family had asked him to come to their house for the night and would I mind. I said of course not. Then in the middle of the night someone else occupied his empty bed. I went at that time to the desk clerk and he came to the room. There was no other empty bed in the room. That person did not "accidentally" occupy the wrong bed. The next morning I discussed with the manager who advised me, the desk clerk had not even given him any message concerning the pridacement. The manager had said he would get back with me, but did not. When I returned to the hostel in the afternoon he was gone and I was told he would not be in at all the next day (July 4th). I think it was wrong to "rent" the bed to 2 seperate people and that I should have received some type of credit. Jeffrey A Day 6000 Berry Lane Evansville, IN 47710 (812)430-0614

The place really has soul and it is the perfect place to come if you want to meet new people who are all on different stages of exploring the city and therefore can help you with revievs. There is a great atmosphere and always someone to talk to from a lot of different places which is great.

There is only 1 bathroom in a floor which is shared by around 15 people. There are lots of insects around the hostal. I have seen a cockroach on the wall, many spider webs around the stairs and most importantly, lots of flys and mosquitoes in both the sitting room and my room. It is good to have free internet on the ground floor. But the chairs there are really dirty. The price is a good bargain. It is close to the metro station, though located in an insecure area.

A very welcoming hostel. I couldn\'t extend my stay because it was fully booked. Luckily a cancellation occurred and am able to stay. The outdoor area is great in the evenings. Although out of town it is close to the metro and only 20 minutes from downtown. Well worth the commute.
