The hostel is really nice, has a very friendly character, but it s really far away from the bus station (about 40 minutes walk) and from the beach as well (15 minutes or something). anyeay, the atmosphere is really cool and there s a very nice garden as well. It's a bit faraway from the bus station and the centre, but the staff was friendly indeed, and you could easily meet people outside in the garden. The free breakfast included just corn flakes and nescafe, they should serve real coffee and tea as well! Suvi, from Finland ~ 8th Jul 2009

Hippo Hostel has one of the best community feels of any hostel I've been to due to a combination of the great staff and awesome guests. I had a blast and Budva is a must see town. The 20 euro boat tour with a neighbor is well worth the money. The location is pretty good, not too bad of a walk to the beach and central area. Breakfast and internet use was included.
