This was a terrific homestay location - one block from Plaza Darrego with lots of pubs, restaurants (Desnivel!!), coffee shops, antique shops and that Sunday fair...and we could walk up Defensa Street straight to Plaza de Mayo. Great hosts - friendly, informative, helpful. Gave us a key and we had the run of the place. Excellent rooftop for the sunset beer/wine. Wouldn't stay anywhere else to get a real feel for BA.

this location can´t be beaten in San Telmo - lovely house - great host - only complaint is that because it is an old house it is a bit smelly..
Very nice place. Homestay so its calm and quiet. Location is fine, right beside San Telmo plaza. Owners are very friendly and informative. Ask Renata to conga!

Sheets were not clean. room was not cleaned during stay and no toilet paper was replaced and no bins emptied. Host was informative at arrival but after that seemed preoccupied with own business and made us feel like we were in her way. Loud drums play outside until late at night and host has a young child so it feels like you have to tiptoe around at night and she can be noisey early on in the morning.
This is a perfect place if you want to stay in a quiet place with your girlfriend/boyfriend or just want a quiet place.

I had a wonderful time at the Homestay. The staff made me feel right at home and provided me with critical information about the city and my trip. The building is clean and beautiful with a lot of great destinations within walking distance. With so much going on outside, I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere this hostel provided. I will definately return to San Telmo Homestay and would reccomend it to anyone.

The couple that run the place are lovely. If you are looking for a quiet location and not a busy hostel then this place is ideal.
One of the best "homestays" I have stayed at in the 20 countries I have traveled to. The owners are extreamly helpful and were super! Had a wonderful time and would suggest it to anyone!
