Every backpacker has to stay in the Chunk King mansions one time in their life. It\'s sort of a right of passage in a way. That being said, the rooms are VERY small, there is no hostel atmosphere, and neither the a/c nor the hot water worked in my room. While the hostel\'s inside was fairly clean, the rest of the place was pretty seedy. It is in a fairly good location. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay and want a single room all by yourself, then stay here. Otherwise, there are better choices.

i didn't stay at lucky hostel. i stayed in different hostel. i don't understand why they said no rooms in lucky. i booked it on lucky. very china. very china.

They told me that they cannot provide me the room because I was 1 hour late to check-in......really bad experience to me.

The location is very near to the MTR station, it\'s within walking distance. Staff are very friendly, like to talk very much. The room are very comfortable.I stayed in a single room, the room is very clean, provided with hot water, TV, air-conditioner and a mini bar!!! I felt like staying in a hotel room.
First the owner send me his picturethat secure me and advice me not to go with someone else ,but he is not there!!!And I was not in the HK Lucky Hostel but another hostel( MAY BE THE SAME OWNER ), it's OK for me because for that price we can not ask more .
The hotel is clean and safe, recommend every one who wants to book

When I was arriving HK,there are heavy rain,the manager has surprise me and pick me up from the bus-stop near the hostel.So warm.However,the building ground floor are full of indians and black harlot,they are really aggressive.Overall,this hostel is wonderful.
The hotel itself is great, although quite small. The staff is very friendly and helpful but the reception isn't great and they might send you to the wrong floor. Be firm about where you booked and if they can't put you in the 12th floor then make sure you are not in floor 11. No common room was the only problem but Hong Kong doesn't have room for that.
