We are a little old for the hostel experience so we looked hard for a place that would welcoming and not too noisy. For the price we found the Recoleta to be quite nice and found the staff to be friendly and very helpful. Mindy, from USA ~ 31st Oct 2009

About a 15 minute walk from the Plaza de Armas, but that made it quiet at night. The breakfast was good, and the owner worked with us when we had to leave early. We would stay here again if travelling through Cusco. Amy, from USA ~ 18th Oct 2009

Charming little place, very clean and welcoming. Best hostel we have stayed in in South America, although a little on the quiet side if you are looking for a social/party experience (Crowd staying here seems a little older than your usual hostel crowd). Fooseball, pinpong, dvds, great laundry service. Michelle, from Australia ~ 28th Sep 2009

It is a really nice hostel, actually the nicest I have been to in Peru, and really good value for money. It is also so good to have a hot shower and clean rooms. It was a perfect stay, I really enjoyed it. evelyn, from Austria ~ 18th Sep 2009

Javier & his team are wonderful amazing people. They run a great hostel. The best we stayed at in Peru! They do everything they can to make the stay wonderful. The location is about 4 or 5 blocks from the main square but that is really no big deal. It is in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The rooms are all great and quiet. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay there. Javier and his team really spoil you!! He is great with helping you make arrangements for you, even last minute ones! This place is pretty good. A good 15 minute walk from the plaza (but a 3 peso taxi ride). TVs in each room. Warm showers. Comfy beds. Staff was ok. Lost a bunch of clothes to laundry service here. Don't get the first room downstairs near the lobby though-the glass is broken in the bathroom and opens to the lobby = cold, no privacy. Plus a pipe or something burst on our first night, so the room smelled horrible. But aside from that, nice place. I would go back. Jessica, from USA ~ 18th Sep 2009

This was a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The staff was very helpful and considerate. My only suggestion would be to try to get rid of the pillows that feel like bricks! Nancy, from USA ~ 23rd Aug 2009
