The staff was very considerate, doing things for me like arranging tours and loaning me a plug adapter. The hostel is quiet, away from the plaza, without being too far away (about a 15 minute walk). The hostel itself is quite pretty, adapted from a family home. There is limited wifi access, and an internet cafe in the same building otherwise. The area feels very safe and I always felt comfortable with my fellow guests. Oh, and I can't express how nice it was to have warm, good pressure showers! I'd say this a good place for families and retirees as well as 20-something backpackers.

We (4 of us) stayed there one night. We were pleased with the hospitality of the owners, they sent a taxi to pick us up and offered us tea on arrival.
The room was cheap but the shower was missing half the faucet, only the hot side worked :). The tub wasn't clean either. I ended up using the shared bathroom outside in the hallway which was much better. Also the room was not very clean. If I were to do it again I wouldn't stay there. Even though it is cheap, I am sure you can find a better place in the same price range.

This was an excellent hostel. We were leaving for the inca trail the next day and it was a great place. The breakfast in the morning definately hit the spot and during our trail we were able to store some of our extra stuff for free. After the trail we returned for one more night and Javier helped us book our bus tickets for the next morning.
Great place for sure!

This hostel is extremely clean and secure. We arrived at 7 AM and the staff had prepared us hot tea as we waited 25 minutes for our room. The hostel is located a bit far from the Plaza but taxis are cheap. Javier and his staff were very friendly and welcoming and Javier even gave us a ride to the airport.
