“ The staff promised that we could have an early breakfast because we had to catch a bus, but in the morning when we went to the breakfast area at the agreed time (5:45am) there was no one there and the place was dark. We waited until our cab to the bus station arrived but no one showed up. Not impressed! ”

“ Great staff, great accommodation!! We did not want to spend a lot of money. We just wanted a safe and clean place to stay. Rooms are very nice and simple free tea, coffee and breakfast! The staff was very friendly. Plus they will store your luggage for free if you are going hiking!! The only trouble we encountered was occasional lack of hot water. Hot water supply was limited, I ended up taking a cold shower because the person before me took a long shower and used all the hot water. ”

“ Found this place through Hostels.com, and I certainly agree with all of the reviews. Very well treated, very straightforward, clean, affordable, and problem-free for my one night stay. I could find it fairly easily thanks to the instructions on the website (basically, don't fall for imitators), and the bread and pancake breakfast was a wonderful plus. In short, I definitely recommend this hostel (4/2013). ”

“ This is one of the best hostel experiences we have had anywhere. The manager and his staff are very accomodating and will take care of any changes of plan you may have. The building has a lot of character, and the area is just far enough from city center to not deal with the noise. I would recommend this hostel to anyone who is planning to go to Cusco on their way to Macchu Pichu. ”

“ This is a nice, very clean, roomy, helpful, inexpensive and friendly place. The rooms are not special but are large and clean. They did forget to give us a wake-up call. They have great sourdough pancakes for the complimentary Continental breakfast if you are there on the right morning. ”

“ This hostal is highly recommended! The staff here are super friendly and very helpful. The girls here cook you a fresh breakfast every morning! The place is also very clean and quiet with hot showers and a beautiful terrace. The hostal is located about a 15 minute walk to the main squarebut this is nice if you want a location thats not loud and busy. The value of the hostal is great because of this. My husband and I stayed here 3 nights and came back for 2 more. Great place indeed! ”

“ The staff at Turistico Recoleto were very helpfull with arranging taxa to Poroy when going twith the train o Machu Picchu - and when coming back from M.P they helped us to buy bus ticket to Puno . In all we stayed there 4 nights - 2 nights before M.P and 2 nights after M.P. ”

From having a friendly and affordable transfer from the airport, comfortable environment to a helpful staff, this hostel is top notch! They securely held our extra bags while we hiked the Inca Trail and really helped with directions to various places within Cusco. ”

“ I really enjoyed my stay at Recoleta! Javier, along with the rest of the staff, were incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The place is really quaint and full of character. It is about 10-15 minutes walking from Plaza de Armas and although that may seem too far, it actually gives you a more authentic experience in Cusco because the plaza center is crawling with tourists. The place is clean and well-maintained. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! ”

“ Excellent hostel charm and quiet, good location to visit san blas quarter and plaza de armas. Good breakfast on the terrace. Beautiful staf . Somos un familia con dos hijos adolescentes y el hostal ha sido nuestro centro de operaciones para visitar Machupiccu i Manu. Nos han guardado las maletas y nos han ayudado en los desplazamientos y busqueda de alojamientos. Recomendable 100 por 100. ”
