The older man was so sweet, but the woman was so rude to my friend and i. She would not split the cost between the both of us and snapped at us numerous times. Overall the place was very nice though. And very clean.

We were really only in Madrid for two days and as we took an over night bus, we were at Hostal Aguilar only one night. But, we thought it was very pleasant. The location was amazing, really close to everything! And the staff was also very nice. We really weren't looking for a fun place to meet people, but as college students we really just wanted a decent place to stay at a good price where we didn't need to lug our own linens so for our purposes it was perfect.

My stay at Hostal Aguilar was great! The location is amazing and the rooms were clean and of very good size. I felt extremely safe in this hostal and would definitely recommentd it to anyone!

fantastic location very close to Peurta del Sol. Rooms cleaned daily but towels very worn and grey. very noisy in the rooms as walls and doors very thin and clientele very noisy and inconsiderate, especially during the early hours. have stayed in much better hostels for the same price. Would we go back? definately not!!

Lack of toilet paper and soap! Towels a bit worn. Access to 2nd level of hotel required pressing buzzer for entry. Worked ok but a bit of a nuisance. A key would be better and more secure.

We found the staff there very friendly and I would highly recomend the Hostal to anyone. In fact it was much better then many of the Hotels I have stayed in the past.
Easy access to everywhere. The double room is spacious. Worthy to stay at Madrid.
