Great price for a very central location. Basic room with everything you need, a bed and a bathroom :) Staff was nice but doesn´t speak much english. A bit noisy from the street but not too bad, no bars or restaurants directly outside. Walking distance to all the sights in the city centre.

This was a nice place. It was a little loud at night from the street, but close to most things, clean, nice and helpful service. They didn't speak English, which wasn't a problem for us, but might well be for others. Very nice time.

Our family (including 3 children) really enjoyed our stay. It was quite clean and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend it.

The people from the reception weren't nice at all. That would be a very big reason for which I wouldn't come back. Anyways, the room and the private bathroom were okay.

Staff didn't speak english so it was hard to communicate and ask questions about the city. Very poor water pressure...but nice, large and clean room. Next time in Madrid- will stay closer to Plaza del Sol.

We booked for Castilla I, but 2 days before we got an e-mail from the manager that our room would be in Castilla II, for the same price and conditions. Upon check-in at Castilla II, it actually turned out that the room was in Castilla III, still for the same price and conditions. So we actually got a bigger room and better room for the same price. The location of these Hostals is unbeatable.

Should be called a hotel, not a hostel! Excellent location, gooorgeous rooms, they even give you soap! TV was a real treat to be able to crash in front of (for English stations had BBC News and German MTV, so it had German subtitles). Would deeeefinitely go back.
