We had our own room and bathroom, so that was great. We arrived around 12 pm and they said our room wouldn't be ready for another hour and a half. Once we returned, we had to wait another 20 minutes for the guy to get off the phone and give us keys to our room. Not only was he on the phone when we arrived, but he proceeded to make additional phone calls before helping us. His English was decent, the female employees were friendlier. We had to keep our window open for air flow and it was kind of loud at night. Location was great- a block away from Puerto del Sol. Recommend this place as long as the nighlty noise doesn't bother you.

Excellent situated, 75 metres from Sol metro station, nice rooms, comfortable beds, we had an automatic AC which couldn't be turned on and off from our room, instead from the reception which was a pain in the ass and holes in our sheets... Otherwise it was fresh and a good stay!

Excellent location!! Showers were always very cold though! Staff was helpful, although some staff had a hard time communicating in English. Overall, the location and prices were so great, I would definitely stay here again!!

The character of the hostel is sweet in a vintage Grandma' kind of way. There's a security lock box in your room, but I thought it was a pain in the butt to hand in your room key everytime you left. The location is cool, right near Puerta del Sol. There's zero fun to be found in this hostel. And I wouldn't say it was super dirty or super clean.

This is really more of hotel. Our room was in excellent shape, equipped with a air conditioning and a shower/bathroom.
However, again this is more of a hotel so don't expect "friendly" hostel service. For example, the woman at check-in seemed irritated and unfriendly. She absolutely resisted to speak English and we tried as best we could to speak Spanish to her but she was still irritable.
Overall, I think for $82/night USD this was a good deal.

Nice clean place, room and bathroom very small but pleasant. Excellent location. Only hassle was that the air conditioner seemed to have no remote, and could not be switched on or off any other way than by calling the staff! They were quite amenable to that but seemed to have no intention of acquiring a new remote.

The hostel itself is very nice. The only reason we gave it only a 'good' rating for character and fun are because it's more of a couple's place to stay or small group, rather than for traveler's looking to meet many new people. The only complaint we had was that the staff at the desk was rude and always chatting on the phone with friends! The hostel was located close to the main plaza and shopping, food, etc. so that was convenient.

The hostel it's very good, clear and site in a good position (about 100m from the "plaza del sol" underground station).The staff it's very efficent and the security it's really good. I advice this Hostel.
