The hostel is situated in a quieter part of Mallorca, though Magaluf is not far. It is easy to get by bus from the airport (though you have to change at Plaza Espana - on to the #3). This is a more relaxing area, so the insanity of the other esorts isn't there. However, there are plenty of bars and cafes to choose from, and there are other shops which sell everything you need very close by. I recommend it!

was a nice hostel, but two very small things would have made all the difference: a second towel to wrap hair in rather than just one per customer, and a bath mat or small towel to put ont the floor as you had to step straight onto the floor from the shower (the holder was broke and it was impossible not to get water all over the floor!).

I had an okay experience staying at this hostel, as I just used it for a bed to sleep in. The room was basic, but clean. My only complaint is that my shower head did not want to stay hanging up so I had to fiddle with it and sometimes it would fall in the middle of my showers. The staff was nice enough, but they weren't that helpful when giving directions on how to go somewhere and didn't really seem to consider that people are here on holiday and don't know the area. In the evenings, the main staff was gone and the place was run by the bar staff. These young people were nice, but sometimes too concerned about socializing than doing their jobs. One night, one guy working behind the bar kept going back and forth between the bar and the computers so that he could chat with friends, while trying to bartend at the same time. Patrons would have to come to the computers to ask him to get them a drink. He seemed upset then if a guest took over his computer while he was at the bar. Overall the common areas were nice. Free internet and Skye TV always a bonus. Breakfast was good and I never walked away hungry. The pool seemed to be well maintained, although I spent my time at Cala Major the beach 15 min walk away. The worst part was the LARGE roach that I saw one night in the hall night.

However a bit hard to find and located out of the city-center Mimosa is an excellent place to stay for a couple of days. The included breakfast and the swimmingpool are a big plus. (Dirk, Netherlands)

Best hostel I've ever been to. Great service, friendly staff, helpful at all times. Nice swimming pool and bar. The ideal place to relax and escape from the touristic areas but not too far away from Palma for those who want to party. Great breakfast and dorm with balcony and sea view! If I'd get the opportunity to come back to Mallorca I'd choose La Mimosa again. Rating: AAA+++ :-)

The Hotel Mimosa is a pretty nice little Hotel located in a quite but not remote area. People there and the management is excellent, very friendly and helpful. It was a plasure for me to stay in that place and I can strongly recommend that place. It is even much more beautiful in reality than on the pictures.

Built in the 1850s, this hostal is an old Spanish country house in "original condition". Its new owners are currently re-wiring the house, and addressing some other issues common to old houses. But travellers should not let first impressions sway them. It has a laid-back, friendly atmosphere, a pool, a bar and is in a good location. In our double room (two single beds pushed together) we had our own balcony overlooking the bay and marina, breakfast was included in the price and we had free internet access.
