Great hostel! If you com to Mexico,especially first time,I would strongly recommend to stay this hostel.the owner would gime you a lot of useful information about Mexico city and Mexico.he speaks English very well.Despite the fact that I cant speak spanish at all,I really enjoyed staying in Mexico city and I did a lot of things.The most important myseum in Mexico city is in walking distance. kengo, from Japan ~ 13th Oct 2009

I really loved this place. Arron was absolutely brilliant. He should work for the tourist information place. Ask him anything, his English is suparb. Owners very friendly, lots of rules - more like a house than a hostel, breakfast from 8am if the owners are up, internet available but not free
Txs Emma: about the breakfast if offered from 8 till 10, or when the firs guest comes to the kitchen after 8, this is to avoid to disturb guest sleeping nest to the kitchen room, when the BB was opened there was not a diferent category so all the small and big hostels are togather, this is more like a BB, next time ask to cancel the reservation and leave if is not what you want

Excellent place to stay in Mexico City. Quiet and safe neighbourhood, not far from the sights of the city. Rooms/sanitary arrangements are clean, beds are comfortabel and the nicely furnished common area includes internet, phone, TV. There is also a patio to hang out/have breakfast. The owner, Aaron, is very helpful and gives good advice to get along in Mexico City. We would definitely stay there again, thx Dennis & Joerg Dennis, from Germany ~ 9th May 2009

We really enjoyed our stay at Hostal Montejo. Aaron and Manuel (hostel hosts) are awesome. Always there for a good advise and always ready to help you if you do need anything. The hostel is in a very safe area (we walked around at night without any incidents) and clean. It is not the type of party hostel, but we have met plenty of nice backpackers there.
