Staff were lovely, very friendly and happy to help, but location is not great and the hostel would benefit from updating the decor and cleaning the bathrooms better.

I had to pay a bill of 71 us dollars on leaving. They charged me 500 pesos to the dollar for the credit card payment when the official exchange rate is 450 pesos to the dollar. I found this to be a very steep commision as I ended up paying an extra 10 dollars on my bill. Otherwise I had no complaints

The problem is not so much the hostal or the deceent family who run it but that the are its in is a bit dodgy. Its quite shabby and whilst its close to a subway there was nowhere to go for a meal other than chicken and chips or pizz nearby. And after dark I don´t think it would be that safe.

The hostel was nice, but the location and cleanliness wasn´t so good.

Felt that this hostel was very poorly run down, terrible location and had no atmosphere. Would definitely not recommend this hostel to stay in.

This Hostal is a very very simple place. It is as big house where live a family that takes care of the Hostal. It is clean, but very old. Location is poor and far from Santiago center ant most places to see. Quinta Normal metro estation is the nearest (two blocks).

A nice hostel, however all the rooms do not have windows and enter into a common hallway, therefore when anyone is coming or going at night or when the television is on or music is playing in the common area (hallway), it can be a wee bit noisy and difficult to get some shut-eye! Otherwise its a quiet place to stay and very close to Quinta Normal metro station and 20min walk from the bus terminal. Breakfast is also pretty good as well.

The couple that attents the hostel are Excelent people. Very helpful. The room is very clean, mostly the bed cloth; but it has some little details in the bathroom. It is a little far away from the downtown, but it is located 2 blocks away from one subway station; so is fast to get anywhere.
