Staff are helpful and friendly, and hostel is a short train trip to centre of Santander. Would recommend.

This fantastic little gem is well worth the money. We had a private room, and it was equal to, if not better than the 4 star accommodation we had in Barcelona, for half the price. The hostel owner/manager couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasant, and she even let us use her personal computer. The rooms are well decorated and clean. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the building - it looks a little old. We'll definately be back!!!!

The rooms are better than hotels i have stayed in, great facilities in a small village/town just 10 mins from Santander. The staff were great and the hostal was ideal. Would definately go back!

Hostal VistaPark is excellent value for money. Very clean rooms and ensuite. More like a hotel, than an actual hostal.

Don't be put off by the outside appearance. The Welcome was excellent as the receptionist spoke Very Good English. Room was clean and functional and well serviced. We were given good information about the transport and local area. Convenient for railway station and the train service to town was excellent. Not much to do in Asterillo but food and service in Kety Restaurant was very good.

Hostel Vista Park is based in the quaint friendly village of Astillero. The bedrooms and ensuite facilities are extremly clean, comfortable and modern in decor, so much better than some four star hotel rooms we have stayed in! Hostel Vista Park provided our group an excellent base to explore Santander Town and its beautiful surrounding coastlines accessible by short, cheap and regular train journeys with the train station itself only a few minutes walk away. The proprietor and staff encountered were so friendly, helpful and polite that we all agreed after our first night to extend our stay there and cancel our pre trip plans to move on to a swanky Hotel in Central Santander. We would like to keep the place a secret so as to ensure future availability but it wouldn't be fair to the host or other travellers who would miss out if we didn't recommend this little haven.

The hostal is convenient for the airport and public transport into Santander. Compared to other accomodation that we looked at it was very good value for money. I would stay again.

What can I say, a hostel with the calibre of a hotel. We stayed in a twin room, were so impressed that we returned and stayed in a double room. For that the owner gave us a thank you present of local cakes. Very friend and helpful, impecibly clean and quiet. Vistapark is situated in Asterilla which is a quiet town, but it is only a 10min train ride to the city. I would definitely go back there
