Hostel Alessandro Palace & Bar in Rome, Italy

This hostel was great... not that close to the sites but really close to Termini Station which can get you anywhere. Plus Rome is really small. Breakfast could be better, but it is free so not really a huge issue. Claire, from Australia ~ 5th Sep 2009

Good location right near the main train station. Nice little restaurants right across the street and around each corner. Helpful staff, good internet connection, clean rooms with ice cold a/c! The location is excellent, a short walk from Termini which was very convenient. The rooms were a decent size. The air conditioning in our room did not work very well although I was told that other rooms had better air conditioning. The bar was great. The pizza at dinner time is not really anything...basically a couple of slices that people dive for. Don't expect a meal. Breakfast included. Free 1/2 hr internet everyday was nice. i think for rome this is one of your best bets! apparently yellow hostel is awesome as well. quick tip if u want a kitchen ask to use their hostel down the road allessandro's downtown i think its called. otherwise fun, free pizza for dinner and brekky (not great but hey its free!)
