A ryokan which was turned into a hostel. Nice and clean, run by a very friendly helpful staff. Ira, from USA ~ 8th Nov 2011

I've probably stayed in at least a couple of dozen hostels in Japan, and this was definitely in the top few. Clean, good facilities, friendly staff. Highly recommended. Ken, from Japan ~ 28th Oct 2011

One of the best hostels I've stayed in Japan : clean and charming hostel with a pleasant staff and a great atmosphere. Very easy to find too! Warmly recommended! Alexandre, from France ~ 28th Aug 2011

Its a little hard to find, but once you do it is kinda close to a good station. staff is very friendly, only one western bathroom and only one shower. they have a very handy map of the area showing near by restaurants and sights. Mary, from USA ~ 24th May 2011

Great place. Friendly, English speaking staff. Very clean and well kept with a traditional ryokan type feeling. Location is nice and easy-to-find with the given directions. A bit far from most of the nightlife action, but easy access to the train system. Only downside is dorm beds are not equipped with curtains so privacy is limited. Otherwise a great stay~ Minggao, from Canada ~ 19th May 2011

The room was a little bit small, but I arrived at the hostel early than the check in time and they allowed me to let me stuff at the room. But I was a little bit worried because the staff told me that I could chose an bed at me room but, when I arrived at late night, they had changed my stuff to other bed. I arrived at the hostel after 10 p.m. and I couldn't turn on the light, which was a little bit inconvenient. I could access wi-fi internet and had to used the lounge computer. Hostel was ok, but in my case, it was a bad experience and people keep going in and out of the romm in the middle of the night (3 am, 5 am), whispering and making noise. If you get a normal room, the hostel would have been ok, in my personal case, I wont stay there again. Agustina, from Argentina ~ 26th Apr 2011
