Hostel Brikette in Rimini, Italy

We stayed in a private room with bath and I would definitely recommend this preciseroom because of the amazing view on the balcony. The room itself is quite spacious, buth the shower is only very average and tends to spill everywhere... However the view definitely makes up for all of that. The dorms just seem awfull and the staff is just midely welcoming... however the drinks and breakfasts (not included in the price) are great. Hoku and Cosimo great-helpful staff members at Brikette. This is a nice and affordable hostel for back-packers! The hostel is located in the upper village of Positano so be prepare for some challenging walking on the 850 steps and steep passages to access the main spots.

Within the first few minutes of arriving here, we felt at home. The owner made us a great coffee while we checked in. The location is great overlooking the town. The staff were very nice and friendly. If you a light sleeper you may want some earplugs if you are in the large dorm beside the door.Other than that, everything was great!Miss you gys!

DO NOT STAY HERE worst hostel Ive stayed at. Too many beds in room with no light (stayed in 8 bed female & could maybe fit 6 beds), bathrooms are disgusting and water always dripping & no room to change in either bed or bathroom. Nowhere to dry bathers too. Cant access rooms between 11 AND 2.30PM. Only thing good was view from balcony but it rained twice. Claire, from Australia ~ 4th Aug 2011

Great budget accommodation for young travelers in Positano. Staff is easy going, has an excellent command of the English language, and provides excellent recommendations for beach spots, restaurants, and night life. The 8 person mixed dorms are basic but fine, your experience will largely depend on your roommates. Honestly, in Positano, you probably won't be spending much time in your room anyway, so it doesn't much matter. Breakfast options are good, having an on-site bar is nice, an views good

Thanks very much for taking the time to provide your feedback. I think you are right to say that few guest's spend that much time in their rooms - other than to change and sleep. I think that guests' spend the majority of their time on the terrace when in the hostel, because it has a great view and atmosphere. We do try very hard to make sure that the breakfast and bar options are reasonably priced, and of good quality, so its nice to know that you found them to be of good quality. Best wishes, Cristiana.

I wanted to book a female-only room for two nights but there was only a mixed room for one of the days. I asked the staff to book one female-only room and one mixed room for each day but they changed my room into a female one for both days. Also very quick reply when I sent an e-mail. The location is fantastic. The bathroom became quite dirty after everyone used, but it was ok. Definitely recommendable!

We do try to manage requests from guests for specific room preferences (stay with friends, people of the same sex, etc.), as we understand that this is important to your stay.
