Absolutely the BEST hostel that we've ever stayed during our travels around the world!!!The staff welcomed us with a smile and continued to be extremely helpful throughout our stay. They even arranged a pick-up for us at the airport.The hostel's location was PERFECT!!!Federico, Jessie, Iola, and Robin all were FANTASTIC, friendly and helpful!!!!We even got the honor of meeting Federico's beautiful & talented sister and nephew!!!It felt like we were staying with family and friends!!!The other Read Owner Comments John, from USA ~ 5th Dec 2011

Casa del parque was exactly what I was looking for in a hostel. The dorm was clean and at night it was quiet. The kitchen was great and I loved the patio. Having wireless allowed me to Skype back home out on the patio. Federico, the owner, was great, friendly and very helpful, also just wonderful to hang out with. Met many other travelers to hang out with while in San Jose and meet up with later in my trip. I have already recommended it to other travelers and made reservations for when I am pass Cydni, from USA ~ 12th Jul 2011

My only minor complaint is there were only 1.5 baths for maybe 20 beds in the mixed dorm.. Otherwise, it felt safe (relative to the rest of to the city), the beds were ready with sheets, and the front desk had plenty of suggestions for nearby food. Peggy, from USA ~ 27th Jun 2011

This hostel is wonderful.I spent a week here in March of 2011.I should have posted this review sooner.In any case, beds are comfortable, the hostel is clean, its location is convenient and safe.Most importantly, the people who run it are fantastic.I'm embarrassed to say that I don't remember the name of the young Australian woman who supervises the hostel most days and nights, but she is a fount of information, and she may be the most upbeat person you ever meet.Whatever you want to do while i Nicholas, from USA ~ 9th Jul 2011
