This hostel is not the most modern or well equipped but it is in a good location, it's cheap, a half-decent breakfast is provided and the staff are friendly and helpful. In particular I was grateful to the hospitality shown to me by the hostel owner Jean. Be warned that this hostel is very popular with French tourists so if you're not a French speaker you might feel a bit excluded.

Was a really good place to stay. I was happy with the lady who worked there. Everyone was extremely happy. Place was clean very secure as our rooms had locks. All in all very happy with the place. One thing that was interesting is I booked for two people and maybe I filled out the reservation wrong but it was assumed we were a couple and they gave us one queen bed rather than two beds. Thankfully we were ok with sharing a bed. But I would definitely recommend the place to others as well as go there again if ever I am back in Montreal

What a great hostel! The showers were fab, the free breakfast was fab and the location was fab. Would HIGHLY recommend this hostel. It has alot of character and everybody is very friendly!
The people are friendly, but the place is crapy, rooms are sooo small and with filthy odour...they gave us a room without a window. I have been to many hostels over the world, but I don't recommend this place for anyone
I was apprehensive at first about staying at this hostel and when i first saw it I was still unsure however after my first night, all my worries were put to rest. The hostel is super friendly, laid-back, comfortable and the people are fun! I`d certainly go back.

Excellent location and well maintained. The room we were in had two entrances - the main one which we locked with a padlock (fine) and the second one which led to a common patio and wouldn't lock at all. Also a bit odd how during the night several people kept trying to get into our room. Would stay there again.

For my first time at a hostel, I thought it was positive. I met a lot of great people, the location was great, the place---cute and bohemian, and the staff very helpful.I highly recommend the place.
Very laid back, funky building and very decent location. Hard to beat for the price!
