The staff and owner were wonderful. The location is fantastic. Very good value for a hostel. Very pleased. While most were younger, my mom and I felt welcomed. Very nice sitting room and free internet access.

I would definitely recommend Copa Praia. It is in a great (one of the better) locations in Copacabana, right across from a lovely park where families spend time. 5 mins from the beach and close to Ipanema. We felt safe at all times there. There are security cameras and a safe for your belongings. There isn´t a typical hostel vibe as it´s more like apartments there. 5 of us stayed in one ápartment´ and there was plenty of space. We were very happy with our choice!

Me and my mum stayed at the hostel over the carnival period. we thought the hostel was very nice, the rooms were clean and the people on the reception were very helpful, especially Joana, even arranging some of our trips and with the tickets for the carnival. there wasn´t much entertainment within the hostel except for a few of the residents chatting in the lobby, but copacobana beach was only 5 minutes down the street and there were lots of mini carnivals and bars open to sit and relax. Overall i´d say Copa Praia was a fantastic stay, and i would highly recommend it!!
