Not very clean, especially in the bathrooms. In the rooms, the stairs of the beds are broken. Some rooms have the windows directly in front of a railway. Chloé, from France ~ 6th Aug 2009

strangest hostel i have come across, the building is really old, you must buzz in on arrival, it's dark and doesn't feel homely, the room i stayed in was big enough to have 2 couches in it, loads of youngsters travelling, yet my room mates were considerate. it's close to the florenc train station. it's cheap and it's what you get. Levir is so close to the metro, you could crawl there. Walking to the center takes about 15 minutes. Two supermarkets are also around the corner. The street is a little dodgy, but seems safe. The hostel was clean, the staff friendly, the beds comfortable, the rooms quiet. It's close to the railtracks, but that never really bothered me. You can meet people in the dormroom or kitchen, but there's no real common room.
