Nice and clean place pretty near to the city centre. We mostly walked everywhere using metro just twice in 4 days. Good kitchen, lovely and bright room (2nd floor, n.305). They didn't let us spend a couple of hours in the evening in the common room, while waiting for our train. We had to leave under rain, and this wasn't nice. Good and cheap for the rest.

The place is ok, its not too bad for the price. Location is a little office nevsky but its good bc everything is cheaper in that area. Overall I would say the hostel is just ok.

Walking distance from Nevsky Prospect and Hermitage. It's near a big square with a shopping center and Mc Donald's. My room was ensuite (double private room) and had a TV; it was clean and comfortable. The hostel doesn't have a computer, but has wireless connection. It also has a refrigerator, but my beer definitively didn't get cold.

Not easy to self-cater - kitchen needs more equipment. Fridge doesn't work. Staff on the desk, but anyone could let themselves into the building and get up to dorms, so not great for security. Good living area for groups/meeting friends. I left something behind and Kristina was really helpful about posting it back to the UK for me. Cheap prices, amazing location - we walked everywhere and didn\'t have to use the Metro. Visa registration is FREE. So overall a great hostel!

An excellent hostel, very clean, very helpful staff, could not have asked for more.

Location and price were great, English-speaking staff were helpful, and there is a dedicated cleaning staff. However, the blocked and foul shared toilet was not addressed for the full two days we were and the showers had no hot water in the middle of the day. Would recommend with caution.

Our room had the most horrible smell-- we couldn't even sleep. The staff was friendly and very helpful, however.

decent hostel considering the high hotel prices. We were struggeling to find the place at night. Russians can rarely speak English. Kaznacheyskaya Street also has two times housenumber 6 and the hostel sign is tiny. So it is better to inform beforehand how to get there. Especially at night.

This place was great though it was kind of hard to find as the entrance is not on gribodevna, but a side street it is marked if you get to the side with the sign interesting Komunalka great stay in my opinion
