Every night we were bitten by some blood-sucking insects. I got more than 20 stings, and eventually that caused allergic reaction on my skin. Those bites were definitely caused by some insects living in the hostel. And those insects were definitely not mosquitoes (the only blood-sucking insects I had encountered before). From what I've heard, that might have been fleas.

The breakfast is quite gd but the price is not reasonable.

It isn\'t a hostel! It\'s very cheap and old hotel!

The hostel's strongest point is its location (only 15mnts away from the station and the city centre) It is also at a reasonable distance of a post office, supermarkets and other amenities.

Stayed there for two days - the sheets were not changed. Good location, decent breakfast - but thats about it.

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend your hostel to our friends. We would choose to stay in Lonnrot if we come back to Helsinki as there were many things in and around Helsinki we didn't have time to see. We weren't looking for fun so much as we were out all the time.

We really loved Lonnrott. The twin room was great value for money, came with a sink, fridge and a TV. Reception staff were happy to help us out with leaving our bags in the breakfast room after we checked out. The location is great, it's ideal if Helsinki's most famous hostel, Erottajanpuisto, is filled up because it's only two streets away. The breakfast is amazing, too!
For the price of this place the facilites were disgraceful. There was only one shower for the whole floor and it is very run down and falling apart. I would understand if the rates weren't so high.

Your staff could do with being a little more friendly. Though their attitude seemed to reflect other finnish people of that age. someone with a good commend of english would be a good idea at the desk. there is no shortage of them in Helsinki.
