- “ Great value place to stay: perfect location, pleasant accommodations, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast leaves a little to be desired (everything was too sugary/sweet!) but otherwise we enjoyed our stay here. ”

- “ It was absolute pleasure to stay at Hostel La Candelaria, in Valladolid,Mexico. I spent eight days there during February 2013 and found everything from the staff, to the beds, to the location to be a wonderful experience. While this is NOT a complaint, as the water in the showers were hot and plentiful, I found it amusing that they did not have shower heads. Nonetheless, it was a delight to be at this Hostel and I would definitely go back time and time again. Jena Pritchard ”

- “ Hostel La Candelaria was more than expected! Having read decent review online, I figured it would be a good spot to crash for a night or two on my trip throughout the Yucatan, but upon meeting the great staff and seeing the place, we didn't want to leave! Great location with easy access to Chichen Itza and Ek Balam, a beautiful city to experience and explore and a helpful staff with hints on good restaurants in the area, hidden cenotes in town and friendly atmosphere that makes you feel at home! ”

- “ This hostel was delightful! We stayed in a double-bed private room that far exceeded our expectations. We even had a small TV that allowed us to catch some lucha libre and telemundo. The whole backyard was magical and seemed to keep on going with no end. It might have been Narnia, but I'm still not sure. Their large kitchen and dining area were terrific, and their breakfast was the best we had while staying in Mexico. ”
