low key but excellent choice for a moderately priced and enjoyable stay in central area of lisbon. i spent some time at oasis backpackers hostel also in the neighborhood which had more of a community feel (eg delicious homecooked dinners for 5 euros and suggestions for excursions) which lemon lisbon didnt have, but the travellers here were very kind, the staff was very responsible and helpful, the rooms were clean and certainly sufficient, decent breakfast included and laundry service for cheap....definitely would recommend this hostel! ciao

Great location, but all of the showers except for one was broken and the Men's bathroom was totally out of commission so we ALL had to share that small space. They didn't clean very well adn the staff was not at all friendly or apologetic when they didnt let us in for a half an hour int he middle of te night and that the bathrooms were in such disrepair.

the hostel had only been open a week when we stayed. make sure you remember it's number 295, rua da rosa is a long hilly street!! the staff are very very friendly and the place is really clean. they even offer free laundry service which was great. the only thing was that the bunks were a bit squeaky, so made it a little difficult to sleep. great location for proximity to bars and restaurants and not to far from the metro, the centre or the castle. The rooms don't have locks but there are relatively big lock boxes in the rooms.
