location and breaky good. no mixed dorms was annoying. dont expect the "Aussie" owner to greet you with a "g'day mate". The only thing aus about this place was the flag out the front. what a joke. when trying to get sheets from non-english speaking staff, the aussie owner just observed the struggle and went about making his juice. Credit to the Pakistani guy working the desk putting up with alot of annoyed guests. needs a link for jungle tour on w/site. Jemma, from Australia ~ 13th Oct 2009

Very friendly staff. OK breakfast included and huge common area. Be careful with the agency inside the hostel though, I got the impression that they don't really care about what they sell, and don't like you asking too many questions.. Andreas, from Norway ~ 16th Oct 2009

The staff was very complicated. The people that worked there were nice, but the manager was very nasty, a pakistanease who can't speak portuguese, nor good english, he treats the guests very badly and never solves the problems.
