Hostel was good, excellent location but a bit smelly. rooms are dark with little if no ventilation. Staff are friendly with a good breakfast if you can get to it! Dinner is less good (rice and pasta and that is about it!) though ok if you are really on a budget. Tour to pyramid is excellent, lots of fun and well worth the extra cash. Be careful though if you are asthmatic or have health problems as the ruins are very high and it is a strenuous walk without the climb. Persuade Oscar to si

Alone in Mexico City, watching out for some people to catch up with: this a very good, may be the best starting point. Anything else: forget about it. It's too loud, the hostel has no charm at all, I got bitten by fleas... Next time I'll stop in Mexico City I'll stay over there again. For me its a good choise.

Fantastic location, the staff are extremely helpful. Food is excellent, the rooftop terrace has a beautiful view of the cathedral. Couldn't ask for anything better.

If you are looking to stay near the Zocalo, this is a perfect location. The staff were helpful and the bar was chill. My only advice would be to request a room on the lower levels (2nd?). We stayed on the 4th floor (right below the bar)...it can be a bit loud.

Everyone who works at this hostel was incredibly nice and helpful, even with stupid questions they have answered 8 million times. The location is great and rooftop terrace wonderful. It is very very loud though - if you want to sleep, take very good earplugs.

You want loud?? Hostel Moneda has all the loud you could possibly need. Don`t head here with the intent of getting a good nights rest. That being said the staff are nice, especially the fellow who cooks the excellent breakfasts and dinners. Also the location is excellent and the free walking tour was useful. It`s just that you need a rest after being there. A proper budget hostel. Probably not for everyone.
