The hostel is right across from the train/bus station but it is in a bad neighborhood. There is a daily market that takes place below selling knock-offs, beginning in the morning and closing at 3pm-ish. Afterwards, the plazza is filled with trash and hustlers. Don't stay out past midnight. The hostel provides a free/illegal internet connection and are welcoming. Bring earplugs for the noises outside. The free breakfast is white toast, instant coffee and tea, but the kitchen is pretty clean. TRAMAINE, from USA ~ 17th Sep 2009

I am glad i get a chance to comment about this hostel so I could warn travelers in advance about this filthy rat's nest. The place overcharges like crazy for what it really is, a dump. There are no fans, it is small, dirty and located in one of the worst places of Naples. You cant even sleep with all that noice going on 24-7. The only plus is that it is close to the metro that takes you to Pompei, Vesubius,Sorrento et al but there are tons of other two star and three star hotels in this area and

Staff were very helpful with everything and what they had to work with. Area is not good, with Rubbish everywhere from market which starts making noise at 5am and rubbish trucks which pick up some of the rubbish at 1am with a front end loader. Lift worked sometimes--is on second floor. Believe they are upgrading but noise factor and area will be an issue. Was Mother and daughter trip. A rather expensive double room, but large, private and window away from the noisy market, though sleeping with the window open at night might wake you up at times. Lots of fungi in the shower kills the cleanliness mark, otherwhise spot free. Friendly and very helpful staff! Fredrik, from Norway ~ 19th Jul 2009

Had a great time at Pensione! The staff are awesome, the security is great, great wifi connection. Hostel is very easy to find, but directions from hostels.com are very confusing. Exit the train station like the hostels.com directions say and then look for the statue. The street for the hostel is right behind the statue! Have fun! valerie, from USA ~ 7th Jun 2009

the staff is nice. very hepful. very kind. they warned us to be aware of thiefs. the region is close to station. in front of the hostel there is a street market. the market is very colorful. but the adress description must me changed or improved. the breakfast is good. and yes there is internet connection. i and my friend stayed at female dorm. they divide the main antrance into two and made a thin wooden wall to form a room. it is very small. but the important problem is thin wooden wall. ther ESRA, from Turkey ~ 16th Mar 2009
