Hostel Suites Palermo in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Expensive like a hotel, boring like a hotel, but looks like a hostel. Far away from everything but palermo parks and bars. Staff is hard to negociate. Bathrooms in the suites are terrible. The showers are so tiny, they are almost unusable, and because of this the bathroom always get entirely wet. I got out as fast as possible, and changed to another hostel for half of the price. the place is fine, but very noicy from other travllers, a friend of mine got lots of bedbugs bits and they common bath was always dirty. The staff seem often stressed and busy..so I did most of my bookings in another hostel. When I left they had forgotten to print by bus ticket...and was very stressed about time etc...and got me worried if I would make it on time... Karina, from Denmark ~ 7th Jan 2009

We thought this hostel was overpriced for what it offered. The staff was rude, inattentive, and not very helpful. The location was kind of out of the way in Palermo. Also, the staff couldn't seem to keep the breakfast food replenished. I've never heard of a first-come, first-serve breakfast when breakfast is supposed to be included in the price, but that's what this seemed to be because there's was hardly anything left when we went to breakfast both mornings. I feel bad saying this as the staff were so helpful and loveley but the hostel itself wasnt. We had a double room you couldnt swing a cat, it was so hot as soon as i got out of the shower i needed another one, the sheets were stained, the bathroom was hideous and so small if you bent over in the shower you banged your head on the sink. The shower was a nightmare it was just a sqaure with a tiled upstand and a shower curtain that was too short there was no way you could shower without floodin Sarah, from England ~ 24th Dec 2008
